               About The Author

Derrick W. Leath

Derrick was born in 1974 in El Paso, Texas, and was brought up in a military family and would enlist in the military in 1993. He had served in the 24th Marine Regiment (Reserve) Infantry, before he tried out for the 4th Air-Naval Gunfire Liaison Company (ANGLICO). There he trained in Close-Air-Support, Special Weapons and Airborne Operations, his passion. Leath has been in the Military for over 30 years and still serves today in the Reserves. His Team received a number of U.S. Combat Medals of “Valor” during their deployment in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Leath would return to Iraq, the same Area of Operations, in Operation Iraqi Freedom 2009. Leath lives with his family in GA and is in Federal Law Enforcement.
